What we believe
I know that in this section, we won't be able to cover everything we believe. I also know that without the ability to ask and answer questions, there is a possibility for misunderstanding, especially if we try to get too detailed. Because of this, I'll try to stick to what I think are the basics.
We believe in One Triune God as revealed in the Bible. We believe that Jesus is the fulness of God dwelling in bodily form and that His is the only name under heaven by which we can be saved. Jesus was born of a virgin, died on a cross as the sacrifice for sins of the world and physically rose from the dead three days later. Salvation is found in no one else and He longs for everyone to repent, believe and be saved. Matthew 1:18-23, John 1:1,2,14, John 3:16, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9, Colossians 2:9,
We believe that after Jesus rose from the dead, He ascended to heaven and will return at the end of the age to judge the living and the dead. Luke 24:5,6,51, 1 Corinthians 15:12-20, 2 Timothy 4:1, 1 Peter 4:5
We believe that the Spirit of God lives in every follower of Jesus. We also believe that there is a baptism of the Spirit that is available for every believer. We believe that all the gifts of the Spirit mentioned in the New Testament are meant to be used today for the building up of the church to the glory of God. John 20:22, Acts 1:4-8, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, Ephesians 4:11-13
We believe the Bible is the word of God, not the word of man. Yes, people were used by God to write it as they were being carried by His Spirit. But we want to be clear, the Bible is God breathed. He is the author. 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20,21, 1 Thessalonians 2:13
